Laboratory Technician – RESPONSIBILITITES Independently plan and execute ex vivo and in vitro lab experiments assigned by Lab Mentor. Prepare protocols, generate and analyze results, prepare reports and power point presentations, and other required documentation. Contribute to generating conclusions and next steps Perform data analysis on executed routine microbiology assays using result templates or following instructions from senior team member Provides evaluation of validity of data for routine analyses and takes appropriate action in alignment with senior team member. Documents, communicates and archives analytical results and data. Responsible to prepare memo results for standardized testing following results template. Collaborate with the team and contribute ideas to optimize new and existing microbiology lab procedures. Manage and support Saliva donation program. Contribute to weekly lab operations meetings and weekly lab clean ups. Maintain and order supplies, equipment, and services as needed to maintain sufficiency of supplies and continuous upkeep of laboratory operations Work with the following equipment including, but not limited to: Autoclaves, anaerobic chambers, glasswashers, biosafety cabinets, automated liquid handlers, microscopes, Flow Through pumps, automated colony counters, spiral platers, pH meters, pipets, spectrophotometers QUALIFICATION Education: BS in Microbiology, Biology, or similar Experience and Skills: 2+yrs of hands on experience with microbiology lab techniques Proven experience in conducting in vitro and ex vivo laboratory experiments. Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and presentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing and presentation development. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint .
