Overview:

In this role, you will ensure our suppliers meet stringent quality and reliability standards, supporting seamless product launches and ongoing production. Your expertise will help drive continuous improvement, problem resolution, and supplier compliance, all while maintaining Ford’s commitment to safety, quality, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead supplier quality initiatives to ensure manufacturing readiness and sustained high performance.
 - Develop and implement commodity-specific business plans to meet quality, delivery, capacity, and warranty requirements.
 - Serve as the primary technical interface between Ford and suppliers, facilitating clear communication and collaboration.
 - Oversee and manage Part Production Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to ensure compliance with internal standards.
 - Support product launches by coordinating quality activities and troubleshooting issues to ensure zero disruptions in vehicle production.
 - Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving to address quality concerns, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
 - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold quality systems and standards, including Ford’s Q1 certification programs.
 - Travel frequently (up to 70%) to supplier sites to perform audits, inspections, and supplier development activities.
 
Qualifications:

Experience:
 - Minimum of 5 years in the automotive industry, specifically in manufacturing, quality assurance, or supplier management.
 - Proven expertise in manufacturing processes such as Casting, Machining, Forging, Stamping, Welding, Plastic/Rubber Molding, Brazing, Sintering, Automated/Manual Assembly, Controls Automation, Paint, Chroming, or SMC.
 - Hands-on experience with PPAP, APQP, and quality management systems.
 - Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective action skills.
