As an EA10 – Alternative School Substitute Teacher I, you will step into classrooms to maintain a positive, structured environment, supporting students and educators alike. Your adaptability and dedication will help ensure students stay engaged and on-track, fostering a safe and productive space for learning.
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments
- Strong classroom management abilities
- Dependability and professional demeanor
- Basic understanding of educational practices and protocols
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working with at-risk or diverse student populations
- CPR and first aid certification
- Prior substitute teaching experience in alternative or special education settings
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Previous experience working with youth or in educational environments preferred
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass background checks and clearance processes
- Flexibility to work varied hours based on school needs
- Willingness to travel between different school sites as needed
