IT Consultant
Job Summary
The IT Consultant provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to end users, helping resolve hardware, software, and general technical issues. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, resourceful, and able to troubleshoot problems efficiently in a fast-paced support environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to end users.
- Respond to and manage help desk tickets in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and user-access issues.
- Diagnose technical problems and identify appropriate solutions.
- Install, configure, and support computer hardware and software as needed.
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and user interactions.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate technical teams.
- Follow established IT support procedures and service-level expectations.
- Provide clear and professional communication to end users.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of computer hardware, software, and basic networking concepts.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests.
- Ability to explain technical information to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Previous help desk, desktop support, or IT support experience is preferred.
