Outstanding long-term contract opportunity! A well-known Financial Services Company is looking for a Legal Specialist in Des Moines, IA (5 days onsite). This contractor will be joining a Quality Assurance team responsible for reviewing legal documents with customers who are dealing with civil legal matters.

Contract Duration: 18 Months possible contract to hire

Required Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of collection law (ideal)
  • Experience with litigation (specifically civil procedures)
  • Experience as a Q/A analyst or (functionally acting as Q/A)
  • Basic MS systems (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, teams)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Understanding credit cards
  • Paralegal certification highly preferred

What You Will Be Doing

  • Will be looking at physical legal docs to ensure that all items within doc are accurate, match corresponding paperwork, meet state requirements.
  • Test info before it’s sent out to 3rd party legal partners
  • Checking notarization on documents.
  • May do judgement and complaint validations as needed.
