Grow your career as a Quality Assurance Automation Tester with an innovative global bank in Irving, TX. Contract role with strong possibility of extension and/or conversion. Will require working a hybrid schedule 2-3 days onsite per week. *Not open to third party employment or sponsorship*

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on test automation.
  • Proficient in designing and developing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
  • Strong programming skills in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Pytest, NUnit, or similar.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.
  • Design, write, and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured manual test plans and test cases.
  • 2+ years of manual testing experience.
  • Perform thorough manual functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover defects and usability issues not covered by formal test cases.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of SQL for database validation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in an agile environment.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Industry certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
  • Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Experience with security testing concepts and tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Relevant certifications in Quality Assurance or test automation.
  • Experience with mobile application test automation.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Will do hands-on manual and automation quality assurance testing.
  • Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to understand project requirements and define comprehensive test strategies.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver in Java.
  • Design, write, and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured manual test plans and test cases.
  • Perform thorough manual functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover defects and usability issues not covered by formal test cases.
  • Implement and maintain test automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model, TestNG/JUnit, Cucumber BDD) to ensure efficient and organized testing.
  • Execute automated tests, analyze results, and identify defects, working closely with development teams for resolution.
  • Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) to support agile development practices.
  • Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, smoke, sanity and integration testing, leveraging automation where appropriate.
  • Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger to validate backend services.
  • Perform database validation by writing and executing SQL queries to ensure data integrity.
  • Participate in code reviews of test automation scripts to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Provide clear and concise reporting on test progress, defect status, and overall product quality to stakeholders.
  • Continuously research and implement new testing tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process.
  • Contribute to the improvement of overall software quality processes and practices within the team.
