Job Description
A cutting-edge AI company headquartered in Charlotte, NC, our client’s platform automates enterprise workflows through AI agents, unlocking value that traditional software couldn’t reach. Their suite of modules leverages Agentic AI to automate back-office processes across industries at enterprise scale. They are seeking talented engineers interested in contributing to real-world applications of AI and are excited to define the standard for how AI agents integrate into enterprise workflows.
We’re currently seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to own customer deployments from initial discovery through launch, build production-grade backend systems, and architect scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS. This role requires a strong software engineering foundation first — someone who writes clean, modular, object-oriented code and can move from whiteboarding a workflow with a client to implementing the production system behind it. Familiarity with the Agentic AI stack and experience applying AI agents to enterprise workflows are highly valued.
Required Skills & Experience

  • Python
  • AWS (Lambda, S3, SQS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EC2)
  • AWS CloudFormation / Infrastructure-as-Code
  • SQL / Relational Databases
  • Object-Oriented Programming
  • REST API Development
  • LLM / Agentic AI Workflows

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of production-grade software engineering experience
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with RAG, embeddings, and structured LLM outputs
  • Familiarity with React, TypeScript, Next.js, or Tailwind CSS
  • Experience integrating with enterprise platforms such as ERP, TMS, or accounting systems
  • CI/CD pipeline experience including GitHub Actions
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-starter with a high ownership mentality

What You Will Be Doing

  • 80% Backend / Cloud Infrastructure
  • 20% Client Facing / Forward Deployed
  • 100% Hands On

Daily Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end customer deployments from discovery through launch and iteration
  • Travel onsite to client sites to workshop workflows and gather technical requirements
  • Design and build production-grade backend systems supporting enterprise AI workflows
  • Architect and deploy cloud infrastructure on AWS using CloudFormation
  • Implement agentic AI components including LLM-powered workflows and orchestration logic
  • Integrate with enterprise systems such as ERP, TMS, and document platforms
  • Partner with internal engineering and product teams to improve reusable deployment patterns

Benefits

  • Medical Insurance
  • Dental Benefits
  • Vision Benefits
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • 401(k) Match

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
