Job Summary
This position provides design and drafting support for construction, engineering, and as-built projects. The role serves Engineering, Operations, and Project Management teams, with a focus on CO2 pipeline and facility projects. Responsibilities include developing and reviewing design drawings, coordinating project priorities, assisting with scoping and estimating, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and maintain engineering and design drawings using AutoCAD and CADWorx with minimal supervision.
- Create comprehensive design packages, including:
- Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- 3D Models
- Isometric Drawings
- Plot Plans
- Material Lists and supporting documentation
- Support capital, maintenance, and as-built projects for pipelines and facility assets.
- Coordinate multiple projects and assignments, ensuring adherence to schedules and priorities.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Project Management, and other stakeholders to define and execute design requirements.
- Assist with project scoping, estimating, drafting standards, and quality assurance reviews.
- Develop and maintain drafting processes, procedures, and standards to enhance efficiency, quality, customer service, and cost effectiveness.
- Monitor and support productivity, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to add organizational value.
- Maintain clear, timely communication on project expectations, milestones, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
- Foster strong working relationships and open communication across departments and with internal customers.
Experience and Technical Skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and CADWorx.
- Strong understanding of the construction, operation, and maintenance of CO2 and natural gas pipeline facilities.
- Knowledge of industrial plant and facility design, including:
- Compressor stations
- Pump stations
- Meter stations
- Process Safety Management (PSM) facilities
- High-pressure gas systems and related equipment
