Exciting 12+ month contract opportunity based in Charlotte, NC supporting a large, enterprise?scale technology organization within the Systems Operations space. This role supports critical Storage and Backup infrastructure and enterprise datacenter initiatives, working with technologies such as Dell, Pure, Cohesity, DataDomain, Avamar, and PowerShell. The position partners closely with senior engineering teams to support large?scale infrastructure planning, operational support, and datacenter migration efforts.
Contract Duration: 12+ Months Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent
- Strong experience supporting enterprise Storage and Backup platforms
- Hands?on experience with:
- Pure
- Dell
- Cohesity
- DataDomain
- Avamar
- Experience supporting large?scale infrastructure and operational environments
- Strong understanding of infrastructure design and technical process controls
- Experience managing daily operational support in an enterprise environment
- PowerShell scripting experience
- Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and escalated support issues
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering and leadership levels
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with Block over IP technologies (NVMe/TCP)
- Experience working with PowerBI
- Familiarity with ServiceNow for change and incident management
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments using Jira
- Python scripting or automation experience

- 45% Storage & Backup Platforms (Dell, Pure, Cohesity, DataDomain, Avamar)
- 25% Infrastructure Design, Migration, and Systems Planning
- 15% Automation & Scripting (PowerShell, Python exposure)
- 15% Documentation, standards, and service improvement initiatives
Daily Responsibilities
- 60% Hands?On Technical Support & Engineering
- 20% Infrastructure Planning, Design, and Change Management
- 20% Team Collaboration, Consulting, and SME Leadership
Key responsibilities include leading and supporting complex infrastructure initiatives, acting as a subject matter expert for storage and backup technologies, assisting with datacenter migration efforts, reviewing and resolving escalated technical issues, consulting on infrastructure design and change execution, developing documentation and best?practice solutions, contributing to automation efforts, and collaborating with senior engineers and cross?functional teams to enhance service delivery and platform stability.
