Outstanding long-term contract opportunity! A well-known Financial Services Company is looking for a Print Operations Technical Business Systems Consult in Tempe, AZ (Hybrid).

Contract Duration: 12+ Months

Required Skills & Experience
Domain Expertise (Non-Negotiable)

  • Proven experience in print, mail, or output services in a high-volume environment
  • Strong understanding of delivery, reconciliation, and operational controls
  • Familiarity with print stream formats (AFP, PDF, XML, PCL)
  • Experience with mail tracking, reprints, exception handling, and SLAs

Reconciliation & Controls

  • Hands-on experience with document/file-level reconciliation
  • Knowledge of control totals, audit trails, and SOX-related controls
  • Ability to design and document reconciliation logic and break-resolution workflows

Technical & Data Skills

  • SQL (read-level minimum)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, reconciliation modeling)
  • Comfort validating data consistency across multiple systems

Business Analysis Experience

  • Senior-level BA experience supporting Operations or regulated environments
  • Strong documentation, process mapping, and requirements writing skills
  • Experience capturing exception flows and control requirements

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • MRDF (Mail Run Data File) experience (strong plus; submit immediately if present)
  • Financial services or regulated industry experience
  • Experience with automated reconciliation or operational dashboards
  • Background with vendor-managed print services

What You Will Be Doing
Print, Mail & Output Delivery

  • Analyze and document end-to-end print and mail processes, from upstream data through print, mail, and archival
  • Support high-volume batch print operations including statements, letters, notices, and checks
  • Partner with print vendors and/or in-house print teams to ensure SLA adherence and delivery accuracy
  • Identify operational risks such as mis-collation, remail exposure, and compliance gaps

Reconciliation & Controls

  • Design, document, and validate document-level and file-level reconciliation processes
  • Ensure expected vs. actual output reconciliation with clear break identification and resolution workflows
  • Define control totals, audit trails, evidentiary artifacts, and aging logic
  • Support SOX-impacted and regulatory control environments
  • Collaborate on automated vs. manual reconciliation strategies

Business Analysis & Requirements

  • Produce end-to-end functional and non-functional requirements that withstand audit and production realities
  • Embed control requirements directly into solution designs
  • Document exception handling, reprints, breaks, and failure scenarios (not just the happy path)
  • Maintain traceability from regulatory or operational obligations to system behavior
