Job details
We are searching for a Principal Data Engineer to join a small Data Engineering & platform team supporting research, ML, and sophisticated analytics. In this position you will be working with high-availability realtime data related to utilities, usage, pricing, and market information. This is a Senior/Principal-level position ideal for someone who has experience across a variety of data tools & techniques and is looking for the ability to make critical, independent decisions.
In this position you will be developing and maintaining Data warehouse/lakehouse environments, ingestion models & pipelines, data integrations/APIs, and more. You will be working closely with advanced analytics teams to understand their needs and creating custom solutions. You should have a solid grasp of technical concepts including data normalization, integrity concerns, backups, documentation best practices, and requirements gathering & design.
This is a hybrid position (3x/week) in Irving, TX
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering
