The successful candidate will join a sophisticated global technology organization focused on high-impact, enterprise-scale data solutions.

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to spearhead enterprise cloud data initiatives, specifically focusing on Microsoft Azure and Databricks platform projects. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between front-office business stakeholders and data engineering teams. You will drive cross-functional data projects from initiation through delivery, translating complex business analytics requirements into actionable technical project plans while partnering closely with data engineers, architects, and product owners.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of project management experience within financial services, investment banking, or capital markets.

  • Proven track record of managing enterprise data initiatives, specifically involving cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure) and data platforms (Databricks).

  • Strong conceptual understanding of data engineering, data pipelines (ETL/ELT), and modern cloud data warehousing.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience interfacing directly with front-office business lines and senior leadership.

  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

  • Proficiency with modern project management and collaboration tooling, including Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for front-office partners and technical teams delivering Azure and Databricks data solutions.

  • Lead project planning, milestone tracking, resource allocation, and governance for cloud data pipelines and migration paths.

  • Facilitate technical workshops, Agile ceremonies, and alignment discussions across business units and engineering teams.

  • Manage project timelines, cross-team data dependencies, and action items to ensure predictable delivery.

  • Prepare and deliver executive-level communications, roadmaps, and objective status updates.

  • Proactively identify, track, and mitigate technical risks, data architecture dependencies, and project blockers.

  • Ensure tight alignment between business intelligence requirements and technical data execution.

This is an immediate-need contract position operating on a hybrid schedule in New York, NY. You will step into a fast-paced, results-oriented environment where your technical data aptitude and pragmatic project management style will build immediate credibility. This role offers competitive contract compensation and the opportunity to drive high-profile, modern data stack initiatives that directly impact core business revenue.
