They are looking for an IT Engineer to be the face of workplace technology. In this highly visible, hands-on role, you will take extreme ownership of the technology employees touch every day. You will provide premium, white-glove IT support, manage all office hardware and software setups, and act as a clear, communicative partner to the entire business. As the first dedicated workplace tech hire on a small, fast-paced InfoSec and IT team, you will have the authority to shape how the office operates.
Requirements
-
Proven track record providing exceptional, white-glove IT support in an in-office corporate environment.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a natural ability to guide non-technical users through technical issues.
-
Hands-on experience configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting macOS and Windows hardware.
-
Deep familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and managing common SaaS applications.
-
Experience with device management, SSO rollouts (e.g., Okta), and asset procurement (e.g., Apple Business Manager).
-
Working knowledge of enterprise AV setups (Zoom Rooms) and basic office networking (WiFi, access points).
Responsibilities
-
Serve as the primary on-site IT contact, managing the ticket queue and Slack support channels with a focus on fast, empathetic, and communicative service.
-
Own the setup, deployment, and recovery of all office hardware and software, ensuring a flawless onboarding experience for new hires from day one.
-
Manage the configuration and reliability of conference room technology (Zoom Rooms, displays, microphones) to ensure client calls run without a hitch.
-
Lead the technology build-out for expanding office spaces, coordinating directly with cabling, AV, and network vendors.
-
Troubleshoot the office network and WiFi, identifying root causes and driving external vendors to deliver permanent fixes.
-
Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets, including inventory tracking, the loaner pool, and secure storage.
-
Write clear, accessible documentation and runbooks to empower users and streamline repeat processes.
This is a full-time, fully on-site role in New York City where your daily work directly impacts the success of the entire company.
