Work Locations: Charlotte, NC or Dallas, TX or Minneapolis, MN – hybrid schedule (2-3 days onsite/work from home)
Duration: 12-24 months initial contract; possible extensions and/or conversion
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead or participate in managing and supporting the delivery of technology products & services for medium to large business unit clients and contribute to large scale solutions planning.
- Acting member of an Agile Scrum delivery team responsible for participating and contributing to Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, etc.).
- Translate business requirements into user stories in Jira; refine and review user stories while acting as the bridge between business and technology partners.
- Serve as a liaison between product and development to manage and prioritize the product backlog.
- Assist in decomposing epics into effective user stories and break down features defined by Product Managers.
- Advise experienced leadership to develop or influence business plans, business requirements, direct product design and implementation for complex business and technical needs.
- Articulate product vision, define scope, prioritize backlog, establish goals, and provide direction for teams to design, develop, and deliver technology and processes for updating, upgrading technologies and vendor relationships.
- Engage with leaders, stakeholders, subject matter experts, scrum masters, project managers and delivery team companywide.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of Practicing Agile Product Owner or Business Analyst experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- Experience in an Agile development environment and with Agile project methodologies.
- Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills; having the ability to clearly communicate ideas and results to diverse business and technical audiences.
Desired Skills:
- Commercial Banking or Lending experience – nice to have
- Agile Certifications, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), nice to have.
- Experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
