Job Title: Head of Product
Location: Jersey City, NJ – Hybrid (3 Days)

*Must be located/authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship or transfer now or in the future. No C2C inquiries, please*

This fast-growing, venture-backed company is modernizing the waste, recycling, and logistics industry through innovative technology—bringing greater efficiency, transparency, and cost savings to a large, traditionally fragmented industry. By combining proprietary data, purpose-built software, and a large vendor network, the platform enables businesses to better manage waste operations while improving sustainability outcomes.

The Role
This is a senior, player–coach leadership role responsible for both setting product strategy and staying hands-on in execution. You’ll oversee the product function while directly owning the core platform—driving discovery, prioritization, and delivery. You’ll partner closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to turn business objectives and customer insights into shipped product.

What You’ll Do

  • Own product strategy and roadmap across both software and service layers
  • Act as the hands-on Product Manager for the core platform, leading discovery through delivery
  • Manage and mentor a small product team while building scalable processes
  • Define product vision, success metrics, and prioritization frameworks
  • Partner cross-functionally to align on product direction and execution
  • Translate customer and operational needs into clear product requirements
  • Drive user research, feedback loops, and data analysis to inform decisions
  • Lead release planning and support go-to-market efforts
  • Track product performance through KPIs and iterate accordingly
  • Balance strategic leadership with hands-on product development
  • Identify opportunities to improve both customer experience and operational efficiency

What They’re Looking For

  • 7+ years in Product Management, including experience leading or mentoring others
  • Track record of owning product strategy while remaining hands-on
  • Strong experience building and scaling B2B SaaS products
  • Deep familiarity with agile development and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to operate in a player–coach capacity across strategy and execution
  • Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills
  • Data-driven mindset with strong product intuition
  • Comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environments
  • Bonus: experience in logistics, marketplaces, or operationally complex industries

Compensation: $200,000K – $270,000K. Flexibility with experience.
