Exciting contract opportunity for a File Transfer Operations Support (FTOS) professional supporting a large, enterprise?scale technology organization operating out of Charlotte, NC; Minneapolis, MN; Chandler, AZ; and Dallas, TX, with planned expansion into additional locations. The team supports critical file transfer and infrastructure technologies including Axway, Connect:Direct (NDM), and AXST, ensuring secure, reliable movement of data across business systems. This role sits within Technology Infrastructure Engineering and partners closely with both business and technical stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being at the crossroads of infrastructure, security, and operations. You’ll work on highly visible, mission?critical systems that keep enterprise data flowing securely and efficiently. The team is looking for a problem?solver who thrives in production environments, enjoys digging into issues before they escalate, and wants exposure to enterprise?grade file transfer, cloud security practices, and compliance workflows. Winning this initial engagement opens the door to additional limited?competition opportunities with the CTO organization, making this a strong growth and stability play for the right candidate.
Contract Duration: 6-12+ months Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience (or equivalent through work, training, military, or education)
- 6+ months of experience supporting production environments, including problem identification, ticket documentation, and customer/vendor interaction
- Strong troubleshooting and problem?solving skills
- Excellent technical aptitude with the ability to navigate multiple systems and tools simultaneously
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience logically analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving technology support issues
- Ability to generate and maintain operational documentation, policies, and procedures
- Familiarity with Agile development practices for testing, debugging, and documentation
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with secure transfer protocols such as HTTPS, SSH, and SFTP, including validating secure connections
- Exposure to certificate management and encrypted data transfer workflows
- Experience with managed file transfer tools such as Axway SecureTransport, Connect:Direct/NDM, or SFTP platforms
- Foundational networking knowledge including TCP/IP, port testing, FTP/SFTP basics, and certificates
- Ability to clearly communicate technical issues through tickets, documentation, or project work
- Strong written documentation skills (incident summaries, operational notes, procedures)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred but not requires
