Job details

Our client is a high-growth AI-powered SaaS company building enterprise procurement and spend management software. They are seeking a full-time DevOps Engineer to join their team onsite. This role is heavily focused on AWS and Terraform, with hands-on ownership of core infrastructure supporting a fast-scaling public-facing platform.

If you’re someone who thrives with real ownership, this is the role for you. You’ll be joining a well-funded company whose sales have taken off, which means the infrastructure needs to grow with it. A major focus for the team right now is modernizing observability: building out monitoring, logging, and tracing, and integrating AI-driven alerting and anomaly detection to improve performance and incident response. You’ll partner directly with backend and frontend engineering teams, and your work will have immediate, visible impact. This is a company with strong culture, competitive compensation, and the kind of problems that keep engineers engaged.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of hands-on DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience
  • Strong AWS expertise — including IAM, ECS, RDS, Route53, S3, and SES
  • Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code
  • Solid Linux and networking fundamentals
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (GitHub Actions or similar)
  • Familiarity with observability tooling: Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving, high-ownership environments

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in a SaaS or product-led engineering org
  • Familiarity with Ruby on Rails and/or React deployment patterns
  • Exposure to AI-driven alerting or anomaly detection tooling
  • Experience with distributed tracing and log aggregation at scale
  • Background working with procurement, fintech, or enterprise software platforms

What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown

  • 60% AWS infrastructure (IAM, ECS, RDS, Route53, S3, SES) and Terraform
  • 25% Observability and monitoring (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, tracing/logging)
  • 15% CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions

Daily Responsibilities

  • 70% Hands-on infrastructure work — building, scaling, and maintaining cloud environments
  • 15% Cross-functional collaboration with backend (Ruby on Rails) and frontend (React) engineering teams
  • 15% Observability modernization — implementing monitoring, logging, tracing, and AI-driven alerting

The Offer
You will receive the following benefits:

  • 100% Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401K Retirement Savings Plan
  • Competitive compensation and equity package
  • Commuter Benefits
  • In-office snacks and Friday team lunches
  • Generous PTO
