Low Voltage Project Manager / Infrastructure and Low Voltage / Onsite / New York City

Our client is a leading global financial services organization. The role supports large-scale corporate real estate and technology infrastructure projects within a highly regulated enterprise environment. Based out of NYC, they are looking to hire a Structured Cabling Project Manager on a long term contractual basis.

 

The Structured Cabling Project Manager is responsible for the specification, design, coordination, and delivery of structured cabling systems and supporting ICT infrastructure. This role interfaces with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and construction partners to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with applicable standards, codes, and business requirements.

 

Contract Duration: 1 year with potential for multi-year extensions

 

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7–10+ years of experience in the specification, design, and delivery of ICT infrastructure and structured cabling systems.
  • Strong understanding of global and regional telecommunications standards and best practices.
  • Experience working in construction or large enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical design intent to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of Wi-Fi, AV systems, in-building cellular/DAS, security infrastructure, BMS, and Smart Buildings/IoT.

 

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

  • Specify, design, and deliver structured cabling systems and supporting infrastructure.
  • Translate business requirements into functional technology solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Attend construction and coordination meetings with Architectural, MEP, AV, Security, IoT/Smart Building, Wi-Fi, DAS, auxiliary radio, and vertical transport teams.
  • Review and comment on telecom design documentation, RFIs, and consultant responses.
  • Ensure all designs and installations align with BICSI, TIA, local codes, and internal structured cabling standards.
  • Develop and maintain project trackers, port matrices, and documentation logs.
  • Review and analyze telecom vendor bids.
