A fast growing direct to consumer ecommerce company based in Southern California is hiring a Design Lead, Ecommerce to help shape and scale the online customer experience across a portfolio of consumer brands. This is a full time onsite opportunity based in Glendale focused on building high converting digital storefronts using Shopify, Figma, CRO methodologies, and analytics driven UX/UI design. The team is looking for someone who can blend creative leadership with hands-on execution to drive measurable business growth through ecommerce design.

This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible leadership role where design directly impacts revenue, customer retention, and brand growth. The company is looking for someone who understands ecommerce beyond aesthetics someone who can think strategically about merchandising, customer behavior, experimentation, and conversion optimization while still being hands-on in Shopify and Figma. You’ll have the chance to lead a small team, influence digital strategy, collaborate closely with leadership, and own experiences that millions of customers interact with. If you enjoy fast-paced environments, autonomy, and building experiences that produce measurable outcomes, this role offers strong growth potential and meaningful ownership.

Required Skills & Experience

· 7+ years of UX/UI or ecommerce product design experience
· Strong hands-on Shopify experience
· Advanced Figma skills including component systems and prototyping
· Experience designing ecommerce funnels, PDPs, cart, and checkout flows
· Strong understanding of CRO and A/B testing methodologies
· Experience using analytics and behavioral data to drive design decisions
· Experience collaborating with developers or external development agencies
· Previous mentorship or team leadership experience

Desired Skills & Experience

· Experience working with DTC or consumer product brands
· Familiarity with Shopify apps and ecommerce ecosystem tools
· Experience with Google Analytics, Hotjar, Triple Whale, or similar platforms
· Background in merchandising or lifecycle marketing design
· Experience in fast-paced ecommerce or agency environments

What You Will Be Doing

· Leading ecommerce UX/UI initiatives across multiple storefronts
· Designing and optimizing conversion-focused shopping experiences
· Managing and mentoring a small design team
· Collaborating with marketing, ecommerce, and development teams
· Running experiments and implementing data-driven design improvements
· Working directly inside Shopify to deploy and manage storefront updates
