A growing engineering and industrial automation company is hiring a full-time Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of advanced industrial control systems and automated equipment. This role focuses on electrical panel design, industrial controls, PLC/HMI systems, power distribution, test engineering, and automation technologies across a wide range of machine development and integrated systems projects. The position offers hands-on involvement with machine controls, robotics, motion systems, custom electronics, and industrial automation platforms in a highly collaborative engineering environment.

This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while working on diverse automation and test engineering projects. The company is looking for someone who can operate independently, contribute to cross-functional engineering efforts, and continue growing toward a senior-level industrial electrical engineering role. You’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge automation systems, custom test fixtures, industrial networking, embedded electronics, and safety-critical designs while helping shape engineering processes and technical standards within a fast-paced team environment.

Required Skills & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
· 3–5 years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or automated equipment development
· Experience designing industrial control panels and electrical power systems
· Ability to create schematics, panel layouts, one-line diagrams, BOMs, and electrical documentation
· Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial communication protocols
· Familiarity with low-voltage control systems and power systems up to 480 VAC
· Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, controls, sensors, and motor drives
· Understanding of industrial safety and compliance standards including NFPA, NEC, UL, IEC, or ISO standards
· Experience supporting manufacturing, vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Desired Skills & Experience
· Experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, or similar PLC platforms
· Familiarity with EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Modbus, CANopen, or IIoT technologies
· Experience with servo, stepper, or BLDC motor systems
· Experience with EPLAN Electric P8, AutoCAD Electrical, or SolidWorks Electrical
· PCB design and schematic capture experience using Altium or KiCAD
· Experience with embedded systems or firmware development in C/C++
· Experience with Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB for automation or testing
· Familiarity with ECO and PLM workflows
· Experience designing automated test fixtures and data acquisition systems
· UL 508A or related compliance experience preferred
