A growing engineering and product development company in the Greater Boston area is hiring a full-time Senior Embedded Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of embedded systems for advanced next-generation products. This role focuses on embedded hardware architecture, PCB design, firmware integration, analog/digital circuit design, and system validation across complex electromechanical and connected-device platforms. The position offers hands-on involvement throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept development and prototyping through testing, optimization, and production.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly technical engineer who enjoys solving challenging embedded systems problems while working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams. The company is looking for someone who can provide technical leadership, drive embedded architecture decisions, and mentor junior engineers while remaining deeply involved in hardware development and debugging. You’ll work on innovative products utilizing modern embedded technologies, wireless communication systems, and scalable electronics platforms in a collaborative environment that values creativity, continuous learning, and technical excellence.

Required Skills & Experience
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
· 5+ years of experience in embedded systems design and development
· Strong experience with embedded hardware and microcontroller platforms such as ARM Cortex, STM32, or PIC
· Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design
· Experience with PCB schematic capture and layout tools such as Altium, KiCAD, or Eagle
· Familiarity with communication protocols including SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and Ethernet
· Experience using debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG
· Experience troubleshooting hardware and firmware issues
· Strong problem-solving and communication skills
· Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with software, systems, and mechanical engineering teams

Desired Skills & Experience
· Experience designing and testing for EMC compliance
· Familiarity with wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular, or Zigbee
· Knowledge of safety-critical systems and compliance standards such as ISO or IEC
· Experience with FPGA development and VHDL or Verilog
· Experience supporting products from concept through production release
· Experience mentoring or providing technical leadership to junior engineers
· Experience working in product development or consulting engineering environments
