A globally recognized technology and manufacturing enterprise is seeking a Network Data Center Architect for a full-time opportunity based onsite in Richardson, TX. This role focuses on designing and evolving large-scale, high-performance data center networking environments that support private cloud and hybrid cloud platforms. You will work heavily with Arista technologies, EVPN/VXLAN, and automation frameworks to build scalable, resilient network infrastructure.
This is a highly technical, architecture-focused role where you will help define the future state of data center networking across a large enterprise. The environment is shifting toward cloud-like infrastructure that can support AI and GPU-driven workloads at scale, and this person will play a key role in that transformation. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys deep technical ownership, building automation-first systems, and influencing standards across a modern, multi-vendor network ecosystem.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in data center networking or infrastructure engineering
- Strong expertise in EVPN/VXLAN architectures and large-scale routed fabrics
- Hands-on experience with Arista EOS and CloudVision platforms
- Experience designing network architectures for private cloud, hybrid cloud, or high-performance environments
- Strong background in network automation and Infrastructure as Code using Python, Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools
- Deep understanding of BGP, routing at scale, segmentation, and high-availability design patterns
- Proven experience building scalable and resilient network systems
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting AI/ML or GPU-based infrastructure and high-performance workloads
- Familiarity with lossless networking, RDMA, or high-bandwidth fabrics
- Experience working with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or cloud-native platforms
- Exposure to network observability, telemetry, and analytics tooling
- Experience operating in multi-vendor network environments
- Strong documentation and architecture review experience
