This Boston-based opportunity is with a well-funded, venture-backed technology organization transforming the automotive industry through robotics, automation, and modern software systems. This is a full-time, hands-on Senior Full Stack Software Engineer role focused heavily on React, mobile development, and cloud architecture (GCP preferred).
This is a high-impact, technical leadership role offering the chance to build a product from the ground up and directly influence architecture, product direction, and team growth. Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with React (web and/or React Native)
- Proven experience building and shipping mobile applications (native or cross-platform)
- Solid background in cloud platform architecture, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and distributed systems
- Deep understanding of system architecture and backend development
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
- Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with messaging systems (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka, or other queue-based systems)
- Strong grasp of software engineering principles (SOLID, clean code, TDD)
- Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical initiatives
Desired Skills & Experience
- Background in computer vision or sensor-based applications
- Experience designing offline-first mobile architectures and synchronization strategies
- Familiarity with robotics, IoT systems, or edge computing platforms (e.g., ROS)
- Exposure to automotive service operations or dealership software ecosystems (DMS)
- Contributions to open-source projects or active involvement in engineering communities
- Experience working in startup or fast-scaling environments

- 30% Designing and developing the mobile inspection application
- 20% Building and maintaining cloud backend services and APIs
- 15% Architecting scalable, reliable systems and making key technical decisions
- 10% Collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, hardware, data science)
- 10% Implementing CI/CD, testing, and monitoring practices
- 10% Mentoring engineers and reviewing code
- 5% Identifying and communicating technical risks and trade-offs
