A growing and well-established engineering software company is hiring a Senior C++ Engineer for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This role is based in Dallas, TX with a flexible hybrid schedule (1–2 days onsite). The team develops high-performance Windows desktop applications used in real-world design and validation scenarios, with a strong emphasis on C++ and computational accuracy.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working on complex systems and solving meaningful technical challenges. The team is looking to add senior-level expertise to help evolve a mature product — not just maintain it. Engineers here work on deeply technical problems involving performance, numerical precision, and real-world engineering applications. It’s a strong fit for someone who takes pride in clean, efficient C++ code and wants long-term ownership of a product.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with C++ in a production environment
- Experience building or maintaining Windows desktop applications
- Familiarity with MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes)
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization
- Experience working in large or legacy codebases
Desired Skills & Experience
- Background in mathematics or computational logic
- Prior experience in civil, structural, or engineering-related industries
- Experience modernizing legacy applications
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
