Staff Frontend Engineer
Remote – Canada Only | Competitive Compensation

We’re hiring a Staff Frontend Engineer to join a growing software company building complex workflow and planning tools used by teams to manage large-scale projects and operations.

This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the frontend architecture and user experience of a sophisticated SaaS platform. You’ll work on challenging problems involving data visualization, workflow optimization, reporting, and performance at scale while helping define the future direction of the product.

We’re looking for a senior frontend engineer who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving difficult technical challenges, and can drive engineering excellence while collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building scalable applications, working with large datasets, and creating intuitive experiences for complex business workflows.

What You’ll Be Doing

Core Focus

  • Lead frontend development initiatives across key product areas
  • Build intuitive interfaces for complex planning and workflow challenges
  • Develop interactive visualizations and data-driven user experiences
  • Create scalable dashboards, reporting capabilities, and productivity tools
  • Influence frontend architecture, technical direction, and development standards
  • Drive best practices around performance, maintainability, and user experience

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain modern web applications using contemporary frontend technologies
  • Develop sophisticated user interfaces for complex business workflows
  • Design and implement data-rich dashboards and visualizations
  • Optimize performance for large-scale datasets and high-usage scenarios
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to deliver exceptional user experiences
  • Write high-quality, well-tested, maintainable code
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning
  • Help establish and evolve engineering best practices across the team
  • Mentor developers and contribute to a strong engineering culture

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of frontend software development experience
  • Strong experience building modern web applications
  • Expertise with React, TypeScript, or similar frontend technologies
  • Experience building complex, data-intensive products
  • Strong understanding of scalable frontend architecture and design patterns
  • Commitment to code quality, testing, and maintainability
  • Experience optimizing application performance and user experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable operating in a remote-first environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience building workflow, planning, scheduling, or operational software
  • Strong background in B2B SaaS products
  • Experience with data visualization and analytics platforms
  • Familiarity with enterprise applications and complex business workflows
  • Experience working with large datasets and highly interactive interfaces
  • Previous experience helping establish engineering standards and best practices
  • Experience in high-growth software organizations
