Outstanding contract opportunity! A well-known Financial Services Company is looking for an Analytics Consultant – Cloud Operations in Chandler, AZ. Irving, TX. or Charlotte, NC. (hybrid 3 days on-site).
Our ideal candidate will strengthen the team’s KPI reporting and analytics capabilities by transforming operational data into meaningful insights and recommendations—preferably an Operational Analytics Consultant. While we’re primarily looking for someone to strengthen the team’s analytics capabilities, we’re also open to candidates with a systems or infrastructure engineering background who have an interest in operational analytics.
The Service Reliability and Delivery team is seeking a Senior Operational Analytics Consultant to transform operational data into actionable business insights. This role goes beyond building dashboards. The primary responsibility is to understand operational performance, identify trends and root causes, develop hypotheses, and provide recommendations that enable leadership to make informed decisions.
Working closely SRE, Data Engineers, and BI specialists, this role serves as the bridge between operational data and executive decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Interpret KPI/KRI and explain the business driver behind performance changes and risks
- Develop hypotheses and validate findings using statistical and analytical techniques
- Translate complex data into clear executive insights and practical recommendations
- Identify automation opportunities through operational analytics and process analysis
- Prepare executive presentations, operational reviews, and performance summaries that communicate meaningful insights
- Support predictive analytics initiatives by identifying leading indicators, trends, and forecasting opportunities
- Continuously improve operational reporting by moving beyond descriptive metrics toward actionable insights
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Management, Computer Science, or a related field
- Five or more years of experience in operational analytics, business analytics, management consulting, strategy, or a similar analytical role
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex operational data
- Experience using SQL to analyze and manipulate large datasets
- Experience with Power BI, or similar business intelligence platforms
- Experience presenting analytical findings to senior leadership
- Strong understanding of KPIs, KRIs, trend analysis, and performance measurement
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting IT Operations, SRE, Service Management, or Enterprise Technology organizations
- Knowledge of statistics, forecasting, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, or predictive analytics
- Experience using Python for analytics
- Experience identifying process improvement or automation opportunities through data analysis
- ITIL, COBIT certification
- Experience using AI or Gen AI tools to improve analytics
