Our client, a leading accounting & finance software company, is actively hiring a remote Tax Analyst Programmer to join their team. This will be remote but must support PST time zone!
In this role, you will be developing requirements that are used to gather tax data, calculate tax scenarios, and validate that the tax software is in compliance with tax authority regulations. They are looking for someone comfortable with income tax and interacting with customers.
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors Degree
- 3-7 years of income tax preparation or analysis experience
Desired Skills & Experience
- Certification in a tax-related field highly desirable (Enrolled Agent and/or CPA)
What You Will Be Doing
- Interpret tax laws into logical requirements that are used to create their tax offerings
- Validate tax scenarios for completeness and accuracy, focusing on the entire tax experience
- Analyze tax data to determine customer usage and impact, assess risks to tax scope, and help develop risk mitigation strategies
- Articulate requirements regarding changes to forms, calculations and diagnostic messaging
