A leading data and analytics organization is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join a team responsible for building and enhancing mission-critical financial technology. The platform monitors financial transactions and screens for potential red flags when customers open accounts with banks, helping financial institutions identify risk, prevent fraud, and make informed decisions.

The Senior Developer will have the opportunity to contribute to impactful products while also providing technical mentorship and guidance to other engineers.

The Role

As a Senior Full Stack Java Developer, you will work across the application stack, with a strong emphasis on Java/Spring Boot backend development and modern frontend technologies. You’ll design and develop scalable microservices, contribute to cloud-based applications, and help deliver reliable solutions within a complex financial technology environment.

The team is looking for someone who can operate independently, contribute to architectural and technical decisions, and help mentor less experienced developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot
  • Build and enhance microservices and RESTful APIs
  • Develop modern frontend applications using Angular
  • Work with React as needed; Angular experience is preferred
  • Build and support cloud-based applications using AWS
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, QA, and other engineering teams
  • Participate in code reviews and establish strong development practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and production issues
  • Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers
  • Help ensure applications are secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable
  • Work within an Agile development environment

Required Qualifications

  • Strong professional experience with Java
  • Extensive experience with Spring Boot
  • Strong hands-on experience developing microservices
  • Experience with Angular; React experience is also acceptable
  • Experience working with AWS
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and distributed application architecture
  • Senior-level software engineering experience
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other developers
