Job details

This is a full-time Manager, Security Operations Center role with a financial institution in the Langhorne, PA area. The first 90 days are onsite, then the schedule moves to hybrid. You will lead a SOC built around SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms, protecting a regulated banking environment with ongoing audit and compliance requirements.

You will re-establish staffing models, shift schedules, escalation procedures, and operational standards, then build the detection, threat hunting, and reporting that sit on top of them. You will work directly with IT leadership and present SOC performance and risk to senior management, so you will have real input on how this function runs. If you have led a SOC before and want to rebuild one the right way, this is worth a conversation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, or related IT security roles
  • 3+ years managing or leading a SOC or security operations team
  • Hands-on experience with a SIEM platform such as Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel, including log source onboarding, alerting, and correlation logic
  • Experience with EDR tools such as CrowdStrike Falcon or SentinelOne
  • Track record of building SOC processes, runbooks, and incident response playbooks
  • Experience setting SOC performance metrics and SLAs (MTTD, MTTR) and reporting them to senior leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Prior SOC leadership in banking or another regulated financial services environment
  • CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCIA, or GCFA
  • Experience with ITSM or case management tools such as ServiceNow
  • Experience supporting external audits and examiner requests

  • 50% Management Duties
  • 30% Team Collaboration

The Offer
