Contract Duration: 24 Months Required Skills & Experience
- o 5+ years of experience in a production support role.
o Strong experience with Unix/Linux systems administration.
o Hands-on experience with Autosys job scheduling.
o Experience with shell scripting and automation tools.
• Skills:
o Proficient in Unix/Linux command line and system administration.
o Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
o Familiarity with SQL and database management.
o Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
o Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
What You Will Be Doing
- 1. Monitoring and Maintenance:
o Monitor production systems for performance and availability.
o Perform regular system health checks and maintenance tasks.
o Ensure all production jobs are scheduled and run on time.
2. Incident Management:
o Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for production issues.
o Diagnose and resolve incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operations.
o Escalate complex issues to Level 3 support or relevant teams as needed.
3. Unix Systems Management:
o Manage and support Unix/Linux servers in the production environment.
o Perform shell scripting for automation and process improvement.
o Troubleshoot Unix-related issues and optimize system performance.
4. Autosys Job Scheduling:
o Create, maintain, and troubleshoot Autosys job schedules.
o Ensure job dependencies and workflows are correctly configured and optimized.
o Monitor job execution and handle job failures promptly.
5. Application Support:
o Provide support for production applications, ensuring they run smoothly.
o Collaborate with development teams to understand application behavior and support needs.
o Implement application changes and patches in coordination with development teams.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain detailed documentation of production support processes, incidents, and resolutions.
o Generate regular reports on system performance, job execution, and incident management.
o Document changes and updates to the production environment.
7. Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with other IT teams, including Development, QA, and Infrastructure.
o Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding incident status, changes, and enhancements.
o Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support as needed.
