Job details

A growing infrastructure services organization is seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer for a full-time, onsite position in Frisco, Texas. This company partners closely with public sector clients to build, maintain, and modernize Azure-based cloud environments. The role is heavily focused on Azure, Azure DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code, supporting both new deployments and ongoing enhancements to existing systems.

This is an opportunity to work on meaningful, real-world infrastructure that supports public services at the state level. The team is looking for someone who can take ownership of Azure environments, improve deployment pipelines, and help modernize legacy infrastructure into more automated, scalable solutions. You’ll have strong influence over best practices, tooling decisions, and long-term cloud strategy while staying hands-on in engineering. It’s a good fit for someone who enjoys both building from scratch and refining systems that are already in production, especially within environments that may not be fully enterprise-scale but still require reliability and security.

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure-focused roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure environments
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps for source control and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell
  • Understanding of Azure networking, identity, and security concepts
  • Experience implementing monitoring and logging solutions such as Azure Monitor or Log Analytics
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to support production environments

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and/or Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with modern application architectures including microservices or cloud-native patterns
  • Experience with automation or configuration management tools
  • Comfort working within Git-based workflows
  • Exposure to cost optimization and performance tuning in Azure environments
  • Experience supporting public sector or regulated environments is a plus
