A growing enterprise technology organization is hiring a Software Architect to join a newly established innovation hub in Frisco, TX. This is a full-time position focused on modern application architecture using C#, .NET, Angular, and Microsoft Azure.
This role is part of a high-visibility initiative to redesign and modernize large-scale government systems used daily across an entire state. The team is building a next-generation platform that consolidates dozens of applications into a unified experience, with plans to expand nationally. This is an opportunity to join at the ground level of a new engineering center and help define best practices, architecture patterns, and long-term technical direction.
Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with C# / .NET development
  • Experience building or supporting microservices-based systems
  • Cloud experience with Microsoft Azure (including Azure Functions)
  • Frontend experience with Angular or React
  • Strong understanding of system design and scalability principles

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Prior work with DMV systems, ADOT, AAMVA, or similar organizations
  • Experience modernizing legacy applications
  • Exposure to large enterprise or government environments
  • Leadership or mentorship experience

What You Will Be Doing

  • Collaborating with engineering teams to define development standards
  • Supporting cloud transformation and modernization initiatives
  • Evaluating and implementing microservices strategies

  • 40% Backend (.NET / C#)
  • 30% Cloud (Azure / Microservices)
  • 30% Frontend & Integration (Angular / APIs)

Daily Responsibilities

  • 50% Hands-on architecture and design work
  • 20% Collaboration with engineering teams
  • 20% Strategic planning and system evolution
  • 10% Mentorship and technical guidance
