A market-leading financial services company transforming the future of life insurance and annuities through AI-powered technology is looking for a Senior UX/UI Product Designer to help build the next generation of digital experiences for both consumers and internal business users. As the pioneer of the life settlement industry, This company is investing heavily in modernizing complex insurance workflows through intelligent automation, intuitive design, and innovative product development. This role offers the opportunity to join a growing product organization focused on redefining how users interact with financial products in a highly regulated industry.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end design of both customer-facing experiences and internal operational tools, partnering closely with Product and Engineering to deliver intuitive solutions for complex workflows. As the first dedicated product designer on the team, you will help establish design standards, influence product strategy, and create scalable design systems while shaping the future of AI-native experiences across the platform. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on solving difficult UX challenges and enjoys balancing exceptional visual design with thoughtful information architecture and user research.

This is a full-time opportunity requiring two days per week onsite near Madison Square Garden in New York City. Reporting directly to the VP of Product, you will have significant ownership, direct influence over product direction, and the opportunity to help build the company’s design organization as it grows. Required Skills & Experience

• 3–7 years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating shipped B2B and B2C products
• Strong expertise in user research, wireframing, prototyping, interaction design, and end-to-end product design
• Deep understanding of information architecture, user flows, and designing for complex decision-making experiences
• Advanced proficiency with Figma and modern UI design principles, including typography, visual hierarchy, and scalable design systems
• Experience designing intuitive experiences for complex workflows and enterprise applications
• Active experience leveraging AI and generative AI tools throughout the design process
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present and defend design decisions across cross-functional teams
• Proven ability to independently own projects from concept through delivery

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience within life insurance, fintech, healthtech, or other highly regulated industries
• Background in content design, UX writing, or plain-language design principles
• Startup or early-stage product experience
• Experience designing AI-powered products and intelligent user experiences
• Familiarity with conversion optimization and funnel analysis methodologies
• Strong analytical mindset with experience utilizing quantitative user data to drive design decisions
• Ability to balance user needs with business objectives in fast-paced product environments
• Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership

What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design of customer-facing products and internal operational tools
• Design wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and production-ready user interfaces for complex workflows
• Define and evolve information architecture, navigation structures, and conceptual models across product surfaces
• Build and maintain scalable design systems that ensure consistency and accessibility across the platform
• Design AI-powered user experiences that incorporate intelligent recommendations and dynamic workflows
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to rapidly iterate and deliver new features
• Conduct user research and incorporate customer insights into product strategy and roadmap planning
• Help establish design best practices and educate stakeholders on user-centered design principles
• Influence the long-term vision for Coventry’s AI-native platform and contribute to building the future design organization
