A cloud-native, microservices-driven engineering organization is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Cloud Engineer to join its growing technology team. Cloud engineering plays a critical role in enabling velocity, reliability, and scale. In this role, you’ll collaborate across development, QA, and platform teams to streamline CI/CD processes, infrastructure management, observability, and developer experience.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives on automation, performance, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Be Doing

  • 30% — CI/CD & Automation: Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps; automate routine tasks to reduce manual effort and increase reliability across development, testing, and deployment.
  • 25% — Infrastructure as Code: Support and evolve infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform; optimize cloud resource management and orchestration across AWS and Azure environments.
  • 20% — Observability & Reliability: Enable observability and monitoring through New Relic, custom dashboards, and logging pipelines; ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of a cloud-native, microservice-based architecture.
  • 15% — Containerization & Orchestration: Provide guidance and best practices on Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
  • 10% — Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to integrate CI/CD, monitoring, and security into development workflows, supporting developers directly.

Platform Environment

  • Cloud: AWS & Azure (cloud-native, PaaS and serverless-first)
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
  • Observability: New Relic, custom metrics, logging pipelines
  • Containers: Docker, Kubernetes

Requirements

  • 3+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related roles
  • CI/CD automation experience with GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform)
  • Docker and Kubernetes experience in production environments
  • Familiarity with logging, metrics, and distributed tracing platforms (e.g., New Relic, CloudWatch)
  • Hands-on experience managing cloud-native environments (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Knowledge of secure DevOps practices and identity/access management
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and supporting developers directly

Benefits

Comprehensive benefits designed to safeguard the physical, mental, and financial health of employees and their families. Two medical plan options for full- and part-time employees, plus dental and eye care coverage; fertility, surrogacy, and adoption assistance; disability and life insurance.

The 401(k) program allows full, part-time, and temporary employees to contribute 1%–80% of pay on a pre-tax basis. Contributions up to the first 4% of pay are eligible for a 100% company match, 100% vested from day one.

All employees and eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor’s appointments through Teladoc and 12 free annual therapy sessions through Spring Health, regardless of medical plan participation.

Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) plus nine paid holidays per year.
