Job Title: Director, Product Development – Agentic Commerce Platform & Product Strategy
Location: Hybrid 2 days in office downtown NYC

Our client is a premier global payments network operating a dedicated digital innovation lab. They originate, incubate, and scale next-generation products that redefine how consumers and businesses experience digital transactions. By combining technical excellence with a massive global membership base, they build differentiated digital payment solutions that shape the future of commerce.
We are seeking a Director of Product Development to lead the core platform strategy for Agentic Commerce. Operating six months ahead of partner integration timelines, you will define the foundational payment infrastructure that powers automated and autonomous transactions. You will manage a specialized product team to build and scale reusable platform services—spanning authorization, authentication, identity resolution, and fraud management—across a massive global network.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive product leadership experience, with non-negotiable depth in payments infrastructure, fintech, or digital wallets.
  • Demonstrated track record of 0-to-1 product development, building platform-level services rather than standalone features.
  • Deep technical understanding of transaction processing, tokenization, authentication, and trust infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-year product roadmaps and manage teams of product managers to scale reusable capabilities.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills to navigate highly matrixed environments spanning engineering, risk, legal, and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the multi-year product vision and strategic roadmap for the core Agentic Commerce platform.
  • Build and scale foundational payment services, including identity resolution, delegated authorization, consent management, and fraud prevention.
  • Partner closely with engineering leaders to design APIs, AI-enabled systems, and scalable platform architectures that support multiple partners and channels.
  • Drive enterprise-wide alignment across business development, risk, legal, and network teams to ensure secure and compliant platform solutions.
  • Monitor emerging AI and agentic technologies and translate them into differentiated business opportunities and robust ecosystem standards.

This role offers a highly competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, performance bonuses, and a flexible hybrid work environment. You will join an entrepreneurial, fast-moving innovation team that balances cutting-edge technical experimentation with the scale and stability of a top-tier financial institution. If you possess deep payments expertise and the agility to adapt traditional payment stacks for the future of autonomous commerce, this is your platform.
